Musandam Adventure-Part 1

Welcome note from Hilton on the TV

Musandam is the northernmost part of Oman and is separated from the rest of Oman by various of the UEA which are Ras al Khaimah and Fujairah. Musandam is a very interesting place to visit. Khasab is the capital of Musandam.

We started our journey from Abu Dhabi towards Ras al Khaimah. It took us about 4 hours to reach RAK by car plus we lost our way in Sharjah town due to road constructions. We stayed in Hilton Resort and Spa in RAK and it was a beautiful 5 star hotel. We got sea-view rooms and the view was spectacular. We spend our day resting in the room because Abi was very tired driving. I was tired too.

At night after having our dinner (bekal from home) all except Che Lah ready to pusing pusing in the hotel. It was once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in a 5* hotel, therefore I also very eager look around the hotel. This hotel was full of ‘Mat Saleh’, not many Arabs and Asian. We walked around and Abi took a lot of photos with his new camera. After one hour, we went back to our room because we will have a long journey tomorrow..Musandam our next destination

Arrived in RAK very hot weather

At the balcony..nice chair hehe

Happy Anniversary Abi & Umi

Tomorrow is Umi's and Abi's 2nd anniversary and tonight we went to a newly open restaurant 'Ushna' which serve the Indian Cuisine. This restaurant is located in Souq Qaryat Al Beri near to Shangri La Abu Dhabi. Actually there was a Dhs 100 coupon from Time Out Abu Dhabi for a dinner in Ushna that's why Umi was so eager to go there.

Ushna is a very high class restaurant and had a very great decor. The waiters were friendly too. Abi had prawn briyani and umi had chicken tandoori. The foods were marvellous and expensive too but luckily we had a coupon :) we only paid an extra Dhs 100 for our dinner.

We had a great night and I am happy to be with Abi and Umi.
Thank you Abi for belanja us makan makan, and Happy Anniversary.

A Weekend in Sharjah

Last weekend we went to Uncle Zaf's house in Sharjah because Abi had a diving trip with uncle Zaf and Uncle Nawir. Sharjah is one of the emirates of the UAE and it took about two hours driving to reach Sharjah from Abu Dhabi. We arrived at 12 am on Friday and I was very sleepy and tired. On Friday morning, Abi and the gang when diving and I spent my time playing with abang Zahier and abang Zaim. This time abang Zahier was really nice to me, we played ball and watching cartoons together.

Auntie Zu had prepared a very delicious meal for us, thanks Auntie Zu, Umi loves your lasagne very much. We went back to Abu Dhabi at 9pm and reach home at 12am on Saturday.

It was a very short weekend in Sharjah but I've enjoyed it very much.

Mother's Day Gift

Ummi ingin mengucapkan terima kasih banyak banyak kepada kak yong yang sudi memberi hadiah ini. Semoga kita dapat terus berkomunikasi dan berkongsi cerita di alam siber ini.

Happy Mother's Day

'The greatest gift anyone can offer is the gift of life'

Today is Mother's Day and I want to wish Ummi a "Happy Mother's Day". Alhamdulillah. Allah had granted me with the best, if not the greatest, Ummi and Abi in the world, I know I could not have found better parents! Lets not forget all those great parents out there....your kids appreciate the love and caring you shower them every day....

Ummi and Abi also want to take this opportunity to wish both my Grandmas Happy Mother's Day. As you can see I have 2 lovely Toks. They are very special because without them in my life I may not be able to write in this blog. My Tok from Alor Setar( in blue tudung) is Hjh. Fatimah Zaharah and she is now 69 years old ( still looks very young with her lesung pipit..hehe). She was born in Kulim Kedah to a family of 9 siblings. She is a good cook and everybody loves her nasi beriyani and all the lauks. ...especially during the family get together for Hari Raya. By the way, Abi loves Tok's cooking, especially her sambal ikan bilis and kek 'gula hangus'.

My other Tok hails from Perlis and her name is Hjh. Siti Jeliha. She is 61 years old (Yes, still look young as in her 20's. ...hehe) She was born in Kg. Panggas in Perlis to a family of 5. She is a retired nurse. She is very expert in making ketupat palas and rendang. Yummy.. Ummi loves her ketupat very much. Ummi also can cook ketupat but she is still a beginner level. Abi loves Ummi's cooking very much, although he seldom mentioned it...hehe :)

Now, I would like to dedicated this poem to Ummi and both my tok. I love you all

ps: Abi, I will dedicate a poem to you on Father's Day :). Wait naaa..

MOTHER

There is no love, like a mother's love,

no stronger bond on earth...

like the precious bond that comes from Allah,

to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother's love is forever strong

never changing for all time...

and when her children need her most,

a mother's love will shine.

Allah bless these special mothers,

Allah bless them every one...

for all the tears and heartache,

and for the special work they've done.

When her days on earth are over,

a mother's love lives on...

through many generations,

with Allah's blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,

for they love with a higher love...

from the power Allah has given,

and the strength from up above.

Dedicated to My Dear Ummi.........

Makan2 with Abi and Ummi @ Suria Brasserie

Salam everyone.

Suria Brasserie at Eclipse Hotel is one of the most commonly known Malaysian eateries and hangout place here in Abu Dhabi. This time I want to share my experience jalan2 cari makan here with dear Ummi and Abi. Don't you just love their signage......
This is me striking a pose while waiting for our food.....
But the food is taking too long...so I tried to help myself with Ummi's triple fruit juice for starters but she was fast to act and help prevent a major fiasco with the drinks.

Later Abi explained to me to always be cool and wait for the food to be served first. We waited eagerly for the food to arrive before reciting du'a makan and enjoying our meal. Ummi had Beriyani Chicken while Abi had Nasi Lemak antarabangsa..yum yum. Guess what I had... a lousy piece of apple which I accidentally dropped halfway through sucking it....takdak rezeki la tu.

Hmmm...posing lagi (terpaksa?)

Three's a family :)

That's all folks. Next time I will try to behave myself.....hehe
