At the Top of the World

Burj Khalifa

Salam semua..

Our trip to the top was at 10 in the morning and we managed to book the ticket earlier therefore we have to pay Dhs 100/adult. If to buy the ticket on the spot, we have to pay Dhs 400/person termasuk la kanak-kanak..terlampau la mahal.

Sekarang mari kita layan gambar-gambar ye..

Selamat Jalan Tun & Kuchai

Salam..

Nampak gayanya nya orang Malaysia kat Abu Dhabi ni dah semakin surut gara-gara kemerosotan ekonomi.
Walaupun kami baru saja kenal, tapi dah macam adik beradik pula. Apa apa pun nanti kita jumpa kat Malaysia, boleh buat piknik kat mana-mana:)

A weekend in Sharjah ~breakfast picnic

scenic view along al khan lagoon

To conclude a long and eventful day we ended up spending the night at kak zu's house. The next morning we had breakfast ala2 picnic at Al Khan lagoon just across the road. Kak zu had prepared nasi lemak with special sambal sotong. We went out at 7.30am but the weather was quite hot, only then we realize that we are the only group enjoying the picnic that morning :) no wonder orang arab like to picnic at night

Wall vs scrap-book

Luqman's new hobby is drawing on the wall. If he had a pencil or crayon, instead of drawing in his book, he'll start to scribble something on the wall. Yes, drawing is one way for him to learn but not on the wall. Now, Ummi has to find an interesting way to encourage Luqman to express his creativity on his scrap-book. But how? Any idea?

A weekend in Sharjah ~ Qanat Al Qasba

Salam

Last Friday we received an invitation from Kak Zu & family for lunch at their home in Sharjah. It is one of the 7 emirates in UAE, just 30 minutes drive from Dubai but almost 2 hours from Abu Dhabi.

It was a get together event for x-PJH families in UAE (only 3 families). We arrived in Sharjah at 2.30pm with Nizam and Eti in tow..... to our delight the foods were already served on the table. Kak Zu had prepared rendang tok. lasagna, kurma ayam, air asam and delicious salad, plus Uncle Zaf with his fresh ikan bakar. nyum nyum..so yummylicious. After lunch, as usual the we had our sembang-sembang session while waiting for our next activity~a visit to Sharjah's famous canal, Qanat Al-Qasba.

Qanat al-Qasba is the most popular tourist attraction in Sharjah and is located near the corniche , about 10 minutes walk from kak zu's house. Restaurants and cafes are plenty with nice waterfront views and lively mini funfair.

The main attraction is the Eye of the Emirates, which offers great panoramic views of the Corniche and its surrounding areas. One can say its quite similar to the Eye on Malaysia (which we tried like 2 years ago). We took the ride on this and the view is really amazing. The tickets are Dhs30/adult and Dhs 15/children over 3 years old.
Arrived at Al Qasba eye of the emirates~views from inside the cabin After all the thrills and spills of the ferris wheel ride, we really enjoyed watching the musical fountain that dance to the music. All the children were very excited because they were allowed to play with the water while waiting for the next music.
children playing with water..luqman is thinking of joining the crowd.... opps..dapat pegang air pun jadi lah..
We end our trip with a ride on a traditional wooden boat known as abras. From the boat one can really enjoy the panoramic views of the walkways and the modern skycrapers of Sharjah. We took a private boat just for our group which cost only Dhs80/per boat.
waiting for the abra sharjah islamic bank building.. can you see a tamar tree at the centre, it is a real tree. nice kan.

Fuddruckers@Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi

If you're a big fan of burgers and salads, you'll love this restaurant. Fuddruckers is one of our favourite restaurants in Abu Dhabi, offering wide range of burgers and salads. Usually we will eat at Marina Mall branch after penat berwindow shopping. But last two weeks, we went there and this branch was temporarily closed for renovation.. frust sangat , dah la tengah lapar. So, we decided to try the one at Al Wahdah Mall. I forgot to snap the pictures of the food, because I was too hungry. This time we've ordered a kid's meal and a burger complete with salad (salad boleh tambah2 itu yang best). Kononnya berdiet that's why Ummi and Abi were sharing the meal. Memang sedap!
So kawan-kawan kat abu dhabi, kalau ada masa try lah makan di sini :)

Ok boys its time to go home...
