Jordan - Part 3

Salam..

On the 3rd day, we had the opportunity to visit Petra, the most amazing place that I have ever seen. Before that let me tell some history and story about Petra.

Petra adalah kawasan tinggalan ummat Nabi Salleh a.s iaitu kaum Tsamud.

Tsamud are people that deny the teaching of Prophet Saleh, and even slaughtered a female camel which is miracle of Prophet Saleh and challanged azab for them. Allah answered the challenge with the earthquake disaster and powerful lightning so no one left. And Thamud became extinct. Amazingly, their works is still left to show the existence of great builder who has Allah destroyed because of their unbelief. Nauzubillah..
Sekarang mari kita tengok gambar..
The magical Siq, the entrance to Petra, about 1 km journey before arriving to the majestic city of Petra.
The Khazneh, called the Treasury, the best known monuments in Jordan! It was constructed and carved out of the hill of rocks. Subhanallah! Cannot imagined how they did this.
Petra is also known as the Lost City, after 14th century Petra was completely lost to the western world. It was rediscovered by a Swiss traveller in 1812.
Another monument
The Royal Tombs Petra is really a huge city, located in the middle of the deserts and surrounded by mountains. One day is not enough to discover all the monuments in this rose red city.

Near Qasr al Bint, where tourist can hire a donkey with a guide to the Monastery also known as Al Deir, another 1 hour journey to the top of the hill.. no thanks

Must buy souvenirs, colourful sand in the bottles and they can write our name in it.
Our transport, thanks Mr Horse..see you next time
Walaupun penat, memang rasa berbaloi ikut jalan bengkang bengkok ni.
Winding road from Petra to Dead Sea, 5 hours adventurous journey Along the road to Dead Sea Abi practising his photography skill...modelnya pokok yang statik ini Beautiful scenery Yes! that's Dead Sea
